January 6- Troop Meeting
6pm Patrol Meetings at FPCK upstairs for all Patrols

Leadership positions chosen by the new SPL will be announced. 

7pm Troop meetings to prepare for Winter Camp in January

 
January 6 - Parent Meeting
Parent Meeting at FPCK at 7:15pm
We will be discussing Bark Mulch with details regarding the "Day of Sale" and delivery.  

Please plan to attend so you can be aware of the details.

 
January 13- Troop Meeting
Troop Meeting to start at 7:00pm. This meeting will help prepare Scouts for the upcoming shooting campout in February. Archery, Rifle, and Shotgun safety and techniques will be taught with fun activities do help demonstrate the concepts.

 
January 18-20 - Winter Camp
Winter Camp at Lake Houston Wilderness Park!
Opportunities to earn several merit badges and have fun with many other Scouts.
Winter Camp Summary:
  • Logistics:  
    • Saturday (1/18):
      • Meet at FPCK at 8am sharp so we can leave by 8:30am and arrive at Lake Houston Wilderness Park for check-in at 9am.
        • Scouts will travel with their own parents to the park with drop-off at the Magnolia site in the back
    • Monday (1/20):
      • Parents arrive at the park at 1:30pm and drive back to the Magnolia campsite where their Scout can load their gear after checked out. 
  • Gear:
    • Make sure you have enough layers to be warm, dry, and comfortable.  As it gets closer you should check the weather and be prepared
    • A few things you should bring:
      • Coat, Jacket, Raingear, Close toed shoes, multiple pairs of Scout Socks, Pants, Gloves, Beanie/Hat, Towel, Troop Shirts (Class B), Draw String or small daypack, pillow, sleeping bag rated for cold temperature, blankets, thermal underwear, clip board, pens/pencils, clear water bottle (Nalgene, etc.  We need to be able to check levels w/o opening it), watch (not apple watch or anything with electronics to distract them)
    • A few things not to bring:
      • Hammocks, Open toed shoes, phones, electronics of any kind, food/snacks, soda

February 1 - Scout L.I.F.E 2020
Scout L.I.F.E. (Laughter, Improvement, Fun & good Eating!) at Alexander Duessen Park!
Please note that the location has changed to Duessen Park. 
Duessan is just 15 miles South of Kingwood near Summerwood at 12303 Sonnier St  Houston, TX 77044
Activities will be for Troop & Patrol leaders with a focus on planning the Fall & Summer '20 events
In addition, this event will prepare Quartermasters, Cheermasters, & Grubmasters to be more effective during the Spring campouts.
