December 3 - Troop Meeting

Merit Badge Classes from 6-6:50pm upstairs at FPCK.  During this time the following MBs will be taught: Citizenship in the Community and American Cultures. Troop Meeting to follow at 7:00pm.

 

December 3 - Parent Roundtable
Parent Roundtable meeting.  This will be at FPCK upstairs starting just after the Troop meeting begins (~7:15pm). 
 

December 7-9 Tyler State Park - Cycling Campout

Cycling Campout -Plan to meet at 5:30pm at FPCK so we can leave at 6pm to travel to Tyler State Park. Planning to arrive at Luby's by about 2pm.

December 15- Wreaths Across America
Show your respect for our Veterans and support Wreaths Across America. Volunteer to verify that wreaths have been laid correctly at the National Cemetery - Houston, talk to former POWs, Marine 21 gun salute, WWII Commemorative Air Force fly over, help 100 of other Scouts. See sign-up sheet at Troop Meeting entrance table to volunteer. This qualifies as service hours towards rank advancement.

February 2 - Scout L.I.F.E 1H19!
This event is for all of the newly elected Quartermaster, Cheermaster, and Grubmaster positions (Troop & Patrol positions). It is also for all of the new Patrol Leaders, ASPLs, and SPL. If you are in one of these positions then we need to see you at Lake Houston Wilderness Park from 1-9pm. There are several hands on activities planned to help improve Scout awareness, make planning easier, and increase the fun & effectiveness of our Scouting events. More details will be sent soon but just know that we will have lots of Scout Laughter, Improvements, Fun, and good Eating (L.I.F.E.)! Can't wait to see you there.

The training will take place in the large classroom on the 2nd Floor of the FPCK upstairs.  Scouts with conflicts that can't be managed should contact the Scoutmaster.  SPL/ASPL/PL will need to attend from 8-3.  The other leadership roles will need to attend from 8-12: Quartermaster, Librarian, Historian, Bugler, Webmaster, Troop Guides, & Chaplain's Aide.  The event will include donuts, pizza, team building activities, and more!

January 7 - Troop Meeting

Troop Meeting to start at 7:00pm with a focus on skills building for camping & cooking!  Also, Bark Mulch packets will be provided during the meeting.  You really don't want to miss out on your opportunity to help support the Troop with its annual fund raising event while increasing your Scout account.  Remember, your Scout account can be used to pay for Summer camp or buy more cool Scout gear!  
 
January 14 - Troop Meeting

Troop Meeting to start at 7:00pm. This meeting will be part 1 of 3 that will help prepare Scouts for the upcoming shooting campout in February. Archery, Rifle, and Shotgun safety and techniques will be taught with fun activities do help demonstrate the concepts.

 
January 19-21 - Winter Camp
This year we will be participating with Troops 9, 27 and 1011. The deadline to sign up is Dec 10th. All Scouts will have the opportunity to earn up to 5 Merit Badges at Winter Camp – there are several new opportunities this year. Additionally, meals are provided and there will be night time entertainment.  read more ...
